Anna Persson, Entrepreneur, International Eventmanager & Connector
My biggest passion in life is creating opportunities for entrepreneurs to meet across borders. I love connecting people to bring new ideas into action and for partnerships and joint ventures happen.
I had no idea I ever wanted to be an entrepreneur
My entrepreneurial plans probably got started in 2001 when I decided to pack by bags, quit a well paid job as HR Manager in Sweden and move to Italy. Long story short. It was there, in the south, I finally realized that I should be an entrepreneur. I was working for a tiny company and as often is the case with small companies you have to do just about everything. That was when I realized that I had the courage and skills I needed to do this on my own.
I believe:
- collaboration is more powerful than competition
- in sharing your best ideas, give and you will get
- challenges can be turned into new exiting opportunities
- entrepreneurs are resourceful, creative, innovative and strong and they bring positive change and abundance to the world
- in having fun while doing business
Being an entrepreneur is not a job – it’s a way of life
I see entrepreneurship as a way of taking charge of our future and financial wealth. It’s a way of speaking up with confidence that could influence and impact the local community, the society and even the world.
Entrepreneurship comes with a lot of freedom. Freedom to make our own business decisions and that provides a lot of excitement, flexibility and independence. But at times it can feel isolated and lonely. We have to make a number of important decisions which directly affect not only the future of our business but also our families and the people working with us.
By collaborating and by combining our talents we can accomplish great things, and I firmly believe that sharing and exchange promote growth for all. There are more than enough ideas, clients and customers out there. Rather than viewing other entrepreneurs as competition I look at them as a potential partners
